Oak Green

Dorridge

This site east of Dorridge is in a sustainable location within walking distance of the train station and a short journey to Solihull and Birmingham. It is owned freehold and is being actively promoted through the Solihull Local Plan Review. A Vision Document was produced, which sets out how a new development of up to 350 dwellings will be integrated with significant new areas of accessible parkland and planting, including a large Country Park to the east to enhance the open space and biodiversity offer, as well as to offset the loss of the Green Belt.

A site-specific identity will be established through a careful masterplanning process which reflects local landscape and the character of Dorridge. This Vision Document was used to engage with the Council and other local stakeholders, including the Neighbourhood Plan Forum. A number of meetings have taken place with the Council and updates to the masterplan have been provided to respond to comments provided. The site was identified as an amber site in the Council’s 2019 consultation document and work continues to secure the site’s removal from the Green Belt.
